iPhone 5 home button to remain the same?

One of the more popular rumors surrounding the iPhone 5 is that it supposedly will feature an edge-to-edge display along with a new elongated home button, which is supposed to be touch sensitive as well, allowing for new possibilities in apps and functionality. However those rumors may have been quashed and hopes dashed as an alleged fifth generation iPhone 5 part has surfaced on a Chinese website.

The part has been listed as being compatible with the iPhone 5, and as you can see in the photo above, there’s really nothing about it that screams “elongated”. There have been several alleged iPhone 5 parts surfacing on these Chinese websites, but short of getting the iPhone 5 and comparing the parts themselves, it’s hard to verify these claims, so once again with rumors – grain of salt, people!
