Amazon to announce tablets Sept. 28th at press conference?

So we all know that Amazon has tablets in the works, and while the tablets have yet to be officially revealed or even leaked, many people are claiming that Amazon’s offerings could be an “iPad killer”, which we’re guessing will be because of its price, which supposedly will be offered at extremely low prices in order to encourage adoption.

While a release date has yet to be announced, it looks like Amazon will be holding a press conference come 28th of September (this coming Wednesday). No word on what the event will be about, but considering how many are speculating that Amazon’s tablet will see a launch in October, it could be officially announced at the press conference.
