Based on several reports in the past, it seems that Amazon’s Appstore is not very popular among Android developers for a variety of reasons. As we’re not developers ourselves, we naturally cannot verify those claims. However in an effort to lure more developers to their Appstore, from now until the 15th of November, Amazon is offering $50 worth of credit towards their Web Services to any developer who submits an application.
These Web Services include cloud storage, database management and messaging capabilities, not to mention its SDK which can be built into Android applications. $50 is a pretty generous amount that Amazon is offering and it will be interesting to see how many developers will start submitting their apps to their Appstore.
