Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 gets Gingerbread update

Good news if you’re a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 user as it looks like you guys will be getting the Android Gingerbread 2.3 update. It appears that X10 users will be beating out HTC Thunderbolt and Samsung Galaxy S (and its variants such as the Fascinate, Vibrant, Captivate and EPIC 4G) in getting the Gingerbread update.

Despite HTC’s and Samsung’s numerous promises that the update was just around the corner, it looks like Sony Ericsson beat them to the punch, so if you’re still holding on to your Xperia X10 device, go ahead and check for the update as it should already be available.
