Sony Ericsson to launch “Nozomi” as flagship model?

According to new rumors, Sony Ericsson has a new flagship phone planned with the moniker “Nozomi”. The rumors are saying that the device is expected to see a launch by the end of the year in Japan followed by the rest of the world.

As far as specs are concerned, the Nozomi is expected to feature a 4.3” 1280×20 HD display, a 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and it will be using the micro SIM standard. It’s a bit odd that it will be running on a single core processor, considering that a lot of the higher end phones are moving towards dual-core, and let’s not forget if this is indeed their intended flagship device, shouldn’t it feature hardware specs that may give other devices a run for their money?

Regardless, as with all rumors it’s best taken with a grain of salt, but what do you think? Are you guys feeling the single core processor or would the bump in processor cores make it a much more attractive device?
