Skype VP hints at deep Windows Phone 7 integration
Well it looks like Skype will not disappoint as the company’s Vice President, Neil Stevens, has hinted that the integration of Skype into Windows Phone 7 will be more than just an app, but instead would make Skype feel as if it was part of the phone itself. Unfortunately he did not specify as to how this would be accomplished.
We’re thinking that phone calls made through the dialer will also give the user the option to make a Skype call, or use their Skype credit. Text messages can be chosen to be sent as Skype messages, essentially acting as a BBM/iMessage but for Windows Phone 7 devices only.
As it stands WP7 isn’t doing all that great but given the features that we’re starting to see, perhaps the deep Skype integration could be the icing on the cake.
