Send voice messages with HeyTell

So we have apps that allow us to send text messages to our friends, and then we also have voicemail. I’m not sure still uses voicemail given that unlike text messages, it’s not as quick to access to and working the menu and having to wait and hear my options – well it’s just not the most efficient solution. However voicemails get the message across a lot quicker than text messages and if you’re driving, it’s a lot safer to leave a voicemail than send a text.

Now there’s an iPhone app called HeyTell which is sort of like a marriage between texting and leaving voicemails. Essentially what it does is that it allows you to record a message with your voice and it sends it directly to the other user who gets notified. You can send voice messages quickly and reportedly almost instantaneously. Supposedly data usage for the sending of voice messages is also quite low, so you won’t be reaching your data cap so quickly.

The good news is that it’s free although there are some in-app options that can be purchased.
