No 4G LTE devices for AT&T until later this year

Looking to get your hands on an AT&T LTE capable device? Unfortunately for you (along with other AT&T LTE hopefuls), LTE capable devices will only be launched until late 2011, at least that’s according to AT&T’s senior vice president of mobility. For now if you’re hoping to get your LTE fix on AT&T’s network, you will be able to enjoy the blazing fast speeds through laptop dongles and mobile WiFi hotspots.

Given that’s it’s Q3 of 2011 already, late 2011 isn’t that far away. We’ll admit that we’re pretty excited to see what AT&T will be offering in terms of LTE handsets. Let’s hope that they will be brand new and exclusive to AT&T instead of a rebranded LTE handset that can also be found on other carriers.
