Nexus S still plagued by Voice Search bug after all this while

Samsung Nexus S users have been plagued by the Voice Search bug ever since it was released back in April. For those unfamiliar, the bug causes the Voice Search to launch without the user initiating it, and there have been reports of the app flickering on top of applications that they are using. Sounds pretty annoying – in fact it has caused users to return the phone as it has gotten quite bad for some.

There has still been no word from Google or Samsung regarding the bug, although it’s somewhat comforting to know that Google has acknowledged it, but given that it’s been four months and still nothing is kind of worrying.

Let’s hope that eventually a fix will be released for this issue as I’m guessing that this could be a huge deterrent to anyone looking to make the jump into Android, especially if they take this long to get fixes out.
