McAfee anti-virus to come preloaded on Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Mini and Mini Pro

With all the malware that has been sprouting up on Android devices lately, it looks like Sony Ericsson has taken steps to ensure that their devices will come with some measure of protection. It appears that their Xperia Mini and Mini Pro series of Android devices will come pre-installed with McAfee Mobile Security. Sounds like pretty good news doesn’t it?

Unfortunately it was not mentioned as to whether the anti-virus app will be free for a lifetime or if it is only free for a limited time, after which the user will have to pay a subscription fee in order to stay updated with the definitions.

Either way, if you were planning on getting your hands on an Android smartphone, and you’re not too fussed, it looks like Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Mini and Mini Pro will be good choices in terms of mobile security.
