iScreen turns your iOS device into a secondary display

If you just dropped a couple of hundred on a brand new iPad 2 and a grand on the new MacBook Air, unless you’re super loaded we’re guessing that splashing another hundred or two on an external display isn’t really in your budget for now, but perhaps you could make use of your iPad 2 to act as an external display with the iScreen utility.

For those familiar with the utility, it has been updated to version 2.0 which brings with it support for Lion and PowerPC-based Macs. For those unfamiliar, iScreen essentially turns your iOS device into a secondary display which supports multiple resolutions on the iPad and Retina Display devices, touch input and a virtual keyboard, independent orientation and can work with any Mac capable of running OS X 10.5 or later.

So instead of shelling out another two hundred or so for an external display, how about just $5 ($10 usual price) for the iScreen which is available on the App Store?
