There have been plenty of rumors surrounding Apple’s next-generation iPhone, and like all rumors it’s hard to confirm anything until we see the device for ourselves, and with most rumors they seem to contradict each other. There has been one point in time when the rumors suggested a refresh on the iPhone 4, while other rumors suggest a totally brand new design.

There has also been leaked component photos that also suggest a change in design, but now it seems that according to Digitimes and their sources from upstream panel suppliers in China, the iPhone 5 will not be seeing a 4.2” display, a display which many rumors seemed to suggest.

Instead it will be featuring a display somewhere between 3.5”-3.7”, with the sources also claiming that it will not differ much from the iPhone 4, with the bezel being shrunk a bit to give the illusion of a bigger display.

Like we said earlier, these are just rumors which can only be confirmed when we see the device for ourselves, but given these new set of rumors, iPhone 5 hopefuls out there must probably be disappointed.
