Ice Cream Sandwich spotted on the Nexus S

Not too long ago we reported that there were rumors that Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 would be making an appearance in October, which has been pushed from its supposed end of the year release.

It seems that there have been photos leaked of a Nexus S device running on Ice Cream Sandwich. It doesn’t seem to have undergone much changes visually, but then again thats just eye candy and I suppose it’s what’s underneath that really counts.

If the reports are right, Ice Cream Sandwich consists of mostly UI tweaks, which means that it should be compatible with older devices, although there are some other updates featured, such as a panorama mode along with Google Shopper which will take advantage of NFC technology in future devices.

So anyone out there excited about Ice Cream Sandwich yet?
