HTC Runnymede will feature a 4.7″ display?

How big of a display would you consider to be big? Right now it seems that 4.5” is the biggest, but would you welcome a display that’s bigger than that? Well if you think that you will still be able to comfortably fit a 4.7” display in your pocket, it looks like HTC may have something up their sleeves.

According to some EXIF data, the HTC device is called the Runnymede and it will feature a 4.7” display with 480×800 resolution (not exactly the most impressive) and will be running on a 1.5GHz processor. It apparently also sports Android’s Gingerbread 2.3.4 and an 8MP camera that is capable of recording 720p videos, and given that HTC recently announced their partnership with Beats by Dre, it seems that the device will come bundled with a set of Beats headphones.

We’re not sure if this device is for real, but since HTC plans to release about 8 devices by the end of the year, perhaps the HTC Runnymede is one of them. Either way, keep an eye out for the device as it is expected to launch in time for the holidays.
