HTC EVO 3D black screen of death

Are you a HTC EVO 3D owner? If you are, perhaps you could help confirm this issue that seems to have plagued a few HTC EVO 3D users. It has been reported that through normal usage, without hacking or rooting their devices, certain EVO 3D users are claiming that they are experiencing black screens of death, meaning that the screen will go black and unresponsive while the capacitive buttons remain lit.

It appears that battery pulls (along with screaming curses at the device) doesn’t seem to fix the issue, so short of going back to your carrier or retail store to exchange the device, there does not appear to be any fix, although we’re hoping that HTC’s upcoming software update will be able to address the issue.

Any EVO 3D users out there who can verify this issue?
