HP TouchPad gets permanent $100 price slash

While webOS probably isn’t as popular as iOS or Android, the HP TouchPad is a pretty decent looking tablet, with specs that could possibly rival Android and Apple’s tablets, and if you ever needed a reason to get the TouchPad, how about if it got a price slash?

Over the weekend, Stapples announced that the prices of the HP TouchPad would be slashed, however the offer would only extend until Sunday. Now it appears that the price cut is permanent, according to HP. Granted that Apple’s iPad 2 is the tablet to beat, HP is hoping that the price cut would encourage users who have been put off by the iPad 2’s price to check out the TouchPad as an alternative.

For those interested, the 16GB HP TouchPad is available for a price of $399.
