Fusion Garage’s Grid 10 tablet revealed

So we reported a while back about a mysterious company that called themselves TabCo, who used viral marketing to spread the word about a upcoming tablet that they claimed would be different from the rest of the tablets in the market. At that time, many had speculated that perhaps TabCo was a front for Nokia and that the tablet they would be releasing would be a MeeGo based device, but as it turns out, TabCo has been revealed to be Fusion Garage.

For those unfamiliar with the company, they were the ones responsible for the JooJoo tablet last year which did not really achieve much success. The new tablet is the JooJoo 2 and it will be running on Grid OS, which is based off Android’s kernel and has been touted to support Android apps.

The Grid 10 is the tablet that Fusion Garage will be launching and it will feature a 10” display and is powered by NVidia’s Tegra 2 processor and will be priced at $499. While it’s true that the Grid platform, while still based on Android, is different from the rest of the tablets out there, given that their JooJoo tablet did not do as well as they had hoped, we have to wonder if the tablet’s successor will do better.
