As most iOS developers should know by now, the latest version of the iOS 5 beta has been available for the past few days. Even better news is that it appears that 9to5 Mac has managed to crack the code as to when the next iOS 5 beta, beta 6, will be released.

If you think that it concerns developers more than your regular consumers, you could be wrong as more the sooner betas are pushed out to developers, the sooner the Golden Master (GM) copy will be released, which also means that the final copy of iOS 5 could be closer than we think.

According to 9to5 Mac, it appears that the next OTA release of beta 6 will be on the 17th of August, which will be next Wednesday. Granted it’s not a confirmed date as there are many things that could go wrong, like a huge bug or security flaw or other unplanned delays that could push the release, but either way it’ll be interesting to see what new features iOS 5 beta 6 will bring to the table.
