Apple adds Sharp to iPad 3 display manufacturers?

So it’s no secret that Apple and Samsung aren’t exactly on the best of terms, what with Apple going after Samsung with everything they’ve got in terms of lawsuits, and have even managed to temporarily halt the sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the EU and Australia.

It’s also probably well-known that Apple sources their LCD panels for their iPads and iPhones from Samsung along with LG, and a while back it was rumored that Apple may be investing a huge sum of money into Sharp so that they will be able to pick up where Samsung left off, assuming Apple decides to drop Samsung from their manufacturer’s list.

However, for now it appears that there are new rumors that suggest Apple is still sticking with Samsung for now, but has also added Sharp to the mix. Perhaps Apple is slowly phasing Samsung out in favor of LG and Sharp, but if the rumors are to believed, the iPad 3 will be getting its purported retina displays from Samsung, LG and Sharp.
