Vodafone UK’s Nexus One gets Gingerbread update

Google Nexus One users on Vodafone UK’s network will be pleased to know that the carrier has finally launched the Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 update for your device. The update should be available as an OTA update whereby you will be notified via a message on your device when it’s time to update, and all you have to do is follow the instructions.

The updates are said to bring:

·           UI Enhancements (simpler and slicker)
·           New Android Keyboard,  with easy copy/paste feature
·           Improved Power Management
·           Internet Calling support (Voip over SIP)
·           Multiple Camera Management (front and back)

If you’re not sure if you’ve already been updated to the latest build, just head to your phone’s Menu > Settings > About Phone and the software version should show “Build” GRJ22, which is the latest version.
