Vodafone UK pulls HTC EVO 3D

A few weeks back we mentioned that Vodafone in the UK dropped the LG Optimus 3D in favor of the HTC EVO 3D. It seemed like an odd move at that time given that most of the carriers chose to carry the Optimus 3D instead. We figured that perhaps Vodafone saw a potential in the EVO 3D, or perhaps they thought that by being one of the few carriers to offer the device, they’d have some form of exclusivity.

Anyway as it turns out, Vodafone has dropped the EVO 3D, pulling the device off its website and issuing a statement saying that they will not be selling the HTC EVO 3D after all. We’re not sure why the sudden move although we’re guessing better now than later, since no money has exchanged hands yet, at the very most it would annoy a couple of their customers. It looks like EVO 3D hopefuls may have to turn to a different carrier instead or get the device unlocked and off-contract.
