It has been reported that customers have called in asking about this supposed increase in price, but Virgin Mobile reps have shut them down claiming it to be rumors, which might be the stance they would take, especially if this was meant to be a secret, with plans to launch later.

Despite all that, Virgin Mobile is still considered to be one of the cheaper carriers for those who aren’t looking to be tied down to a contract, but those price hikes may not sit well with current customers.
