Supposed iPhone 5 “leaked” photo

Fall is only a couple of months away, and if the rumors are to be believed, that’s when the iPhone 4S/5 is supposed to hit. What that also means is that rumors regarding the next generation iPhone’s specs have also been going wild, with no one actually being able to substantiate those claims.

Interestingly enough, here’s a new one, and this one is about how the next generation iPhone will be sporting a 3D camera, as seen in the photo above. The photo appears to be showing the back of an iOS device (which strongly resembles the iPhone 4), with a dual camera sensor array, and also the “5” numbering next to the iPhone text.

Now Apple has never really been known to be a huge fan of 3D and there certainly have been no rumblings regarding 3D technology appearing in any of their upcoming devices, so it does seem a little strange that the next iPhone will come with a 3D camera.

We’re going to chalk this up to just some clever photo editing, and for the sake of discussion purposes. Do you think the “leaked” photo seen above has any truth to it? Also, how would iPhone users out there feel about the next iPhone being able to capture in 3D?
