Spy drone that can hack into our phones
Yes you heard that right, it appears that now our phones are vulnerable from hacks. The device is known as WASP (Wireless Aerial Surveillance Platform) and it was built by Mike Tassey and Richard Perkins. It is a flying drone that has a 6-foot wingspan, a 6-foot length and weighs in at 14 pounds. It includes 32GB of storage which will hold the information that it manages to hack along with a 340 million word dictionary of passwords. How it works is that it tricks our phones into thinking that it is an AT&T or T-Mobile cellphone tower thanks to the eleven on-board antennas.
If you think of all this sounds very illegal, it’s surprisingly not as it complies with FCC standards and the creators have been flying the drone in isolated areas so as not to illegally pick up on any active conversations. Let’s just hope that this device does not fall into the wrong hands.
