Sprint’s Photon 4G coming soon?

A while back we had reported that Sprint unveiled the Motorola Photon 4G as one of their upcoming Android handsets. At that time, the only time frame given for its release was said to be in the summer, but now thanks to the screen shot pictured above, the Photon 4G has now been upgraded to “Coming Soon” status, although no specific date has been given, but we’re guessing it’s better than nothing.

A quick refresher for those unfamiliar with the device. The Motorola Photon 4G will be Sprint’s first world phone with GSM radios and it comes loaded with Android’s Gingerbread 2.3, a a 1GHz dual-core NVidia Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM, 4G radios, 16GB of internal storage, a 1700mAh battery, HDMI-out with mirroring and an 8 megapixel HD camera and a front facing camera as well. It comes with a 4.3-inch display and a kickstand too.
