Samsung’s JK Shin confirms August launch for Galaxy S II in the US

A couple of days ago we reported that a leaked photo of what appeared to be the Samsung Galaxy S II was spotted bearing Sprint’s logo. As it stands, there’s still no word on when we will be seeing the device hit the shelves, and some have even speculated that it may not even make it due to the ongoing patent infringement that Samsung is tangled up in with Apple.

However fans of the Galaxy S II who are meaning to get their hands on the device the minute it arrives to the States will be pleased to know that according to Samsung’s JK Shin, the device is on track for an August release, although further specifics were not mentioned. Since August is only a week and a half away, we may not have to wait much longer to see which carrier might be getting the device first.
