Good news Sprint users of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, it looks like the Android Gingerbread 2.3 update is finally rolling out to you guys. Granted it probably won’t be as fun as the tablet-centric Honeycomb 3.0 version of Android that can be found on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, but at least Galaxy Tab users will be up to date with the latest version of Android.
The update from Froyo 2.2 to Gingerbread 2.3 is expected to bring:
Fixes for VPN
Bluetooth HID support
Power Management enhancements in Gingerbread
The update will also be sent out OTA which could take several minutes to install.
