Yesterday we reported that Samsung Romania had tweeted about details regarding the upcoming Google Nexus 3 device, which some had speculated would be made by Samsung. Samsung Romania claims that the tweet was uploaded by mistake and was not intended to be an official confirmation of any sort. It did seem somewhat unlikely that Google would allow Samsung to produce two Nexus devices back-to-back, although if indeed Samsung was to be the manufacturer for the next Nexus device, we’re guessing there are probably NDA’s in place that would not allow them to say or confirm anything, even if it was “leaked” by them.
For now it looks like speculators and rumor-mongers will have to go back to the drawing board, and fans will have to be patient. While we can’t actually confirm if there will be a Nexus 3, it wouldn’t surprise us if there was, but perhaps it’s a little too early to start getting excited about it.
