Remember yesterday we posted that the Google Nexus S will be getting an update? As it turns out, it may not be just another update, but rather an update that reportedly brings the Android version to 2.3.5, up from 2.3.4. The bump up in software version is believed to be due to what’s in the update, which is said to enable the NFC chip within the Nexus S to work with Google’s mobile payment services – Google Wallet.
When Google Wallet was launched, it was mentioned that NFC devices like the Nexus S would be able to use its services, and I guess they finally got around to enabling it, as you can see in the picture above, of the Nexus S in action with Google Wallet.
