Fans of QWERTY keyboards and candybar form factor phones will be pleased to know that Motorola has released a new handset called the Motorola XT316 which will be running on a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227-1 processor, 256MB of RAM while sporting a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, Moto Switch UI, HSDPA, Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, stereo FM radio with RDS, 3MP camera, 512MB of ROM, MicroSD card support (up to 32GB), and a 1,420 mAh battery. It will also be running on Android Gingerbread 2.3.

As it stands, the device is currently available in China, and should be released in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Latin America, and Europe in the next few months, although there has been no mention if the device will be making its way to the States. The smartphone will be getting a new name in Europe as the Motorola Fire, and the Motorola Spice Key in Latin America.

The XT316 is priced at $230 in China, so we’re expecting the prices not to deviate too much for Europe and Latin America.
