HTC EVO 3D facing overheating problems?

User of the new HTC EVO 3D, have you been experiencing extreme overheating in your device during charging? It seems that an Android Forums user has detected something out of the ordinary while charging his HTC EVO 3D, whereby he discovered that his device was being charged at dangerously high levels, which was over the recommended voltage levels.

Sprint has apparently acknowledged that this is an issue with the HTC EVO 3D, although it is not known if it is due to hardware or software defects that are causing it to overheat. Regardless, it could potentially prove to be rather dangerous and if your HTC EVO 3D is giving off excessive heat, you should probably get in touch with Sprint, and apparently they will be more than happy to give you a replacement.

As it stands, there is no word from HTC regarding this matter, and it doesn’t seem to be widespread at the moment, but stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated regarding this matter.
