Go darker with your display’s brightness with SuperDim for Android
When it comes to battery life on smartphones and tablets, one of the biggest culprits for quickly depleting its battery would be the screen brightness. Granted your Samsung Galaxy S II looks amazing with its AMOLED display set on maximum brightness, but perhaps you’ll feel differently when it’s the afternoon and you realize your phone will not make it until the end of the day.
Of course you can lower the brightness through the settings on your Android app, but what if you really needed that extra 5% remaining battery, and Android’s lowest settings just won’t cut it? If that’s the case, XDA developer arpruss has released a mod called SuperDim that will allow you to go even darker.
arpruss also mentioned that it was primarily created for LCD devices, which means that OLED devices may not be able to use this app at all, but if you’re interested in giving it a go, you can find out more information here.
