Anymode’s Smart Case looks like Apple’s Smart Cover for the iPad 2

Hang on, isn’t that a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 using the Smart Cover for the iPad 2? Well, you wouldn’t be completely wrong as it is indeed the Galaxy Tab 10.1, although the Smart Cover you see is not the one by Apple, but rather a knock off version of it by Anymode, a company with reported “strong affiliations” to Samsung.

As you may recall, Samsung has been embroiled in a legal battle with Apple for the past couple of months over patent infringements, and we’re not sure if sporting these Smart Cover’s in their Korean stores is a good way to settle the lawsuit. Either way, we’re guessing Samsung customers should be happy about the casing, although we can’t say the same about Apple.

However since its release, Samsung has announced that Anymode had not gained Samsung’s permission to use their name on their products, and are now attempting to distance themselves from the imitation product.
