Acer Iconia Tab A100 date and price revealed

If you remember the Acer Iconia Tab A100, it was delayed due to operating system incompatibility. Acer had originally intended for the device to run on Android’s Honeycomb 3.0 but at that time Honeycomb was limited to tablets that were at least 10″ in size. With the release of Honeycomb 3.2 the platform is now optimized for tablets in the 7″ variety which means the A100 tablet from Acer is now back on track.

Thanks to a leaked email from Acer to retailers, it seems that the tablet will be available in August (although no specific date was mentioned) for a rather affordable $300. For those outside of the US it appears that you guys might be receiving the tablet some time in September.
