Yet Another Android Malware, DroidKungFu

Published

on

In the past week or so we’ve already seen two new Android malware and thanks to DroidKungFu we would be looking at the third that we’ve reported so far. As it stands mobile anti-virus applications have yet to pick up on this latest malware so users should be doubly cautious until the updates and definitions for their anti-virus apps have arrived.

The DroidKungFu is essentially a trojan horse virus that gives hackers easy access to all your data and apparently they can turn your Android device into a bot and run the phone remotely and do whatever it is that they want it to do.

Android Froyo 2.2 devices are probably the most susceptible these kinds of attacks so it’s best if Froyo 2.2 users can update their phone to Gingerbread 2.3 or at least download some kind of anti-virus application until then. Refraining downloading from third party app stores and non-trusted websites is probably a good way to avoid getting these malwares in the first place.
