Apart from having a new notification system, Apple fans were hoping for widgets to be making their way to iOS 5 and at WWDC it was not announced that widgets would be one of the new features that could be expected to be seen in iOS 5. Disappointed? Perhaps a little but fret not because it looks like developer WillFour20 has found a way to bring widgets onto iOS 5 through the new notification center, as you can see in the picture above.
Having widgets in the notifications center was probably not what users had in mind, personally I was thinking somewhere along the lines of the tile system that Windows Phone 7 uses, but at least it’s something. As it stands the notifications center is not open to developers to create widgets on but hopefully this will change as iOS 5 progresses.
