Only last week we reported that based on the leaked schedule of T-Mobile, the G2 was being categorised at reaching its end of product life but it looks like prior to that leak, T-Mobile had already discontinued the device, as we can see in the picture above, the product was actually discontinued on the 6th June 2011. This probably means there is little to no G2 devices left on the shelves, not that many people are looking to get it considering the better offers that are out there already.
The better question is will T-Mobile continue to push out updates to the G2? Will the G2 ever get to see Android’s Gingerbread 2.3 operating system? T-Mobile has said that this is in the works but considering the product is already considered discontinued it’d be hard to imagine T-Mobile dedicating time and resources towards the Gingerbread 2.3 update for current G2 owners.
