Sony Ericsson’s txt pro Looks Like The Xperia Mini Pro

If you’re wondering why this device looks familiar it’s because Sony Ericsson has taken a cue from their design of their Xperia Mini Pro Android smartphones except this time it’s called the Sony Ericsson txt pro and instead of being a smartphone it’s actually a phone designed specifically for sending messages. Don’t let the touch screen fool you!

The device offers no 3G connectivity although apparently it is integrated with Facebook and Twitter which shows the status updates of your top five friends. The txt pro also has a 3-inch, capacitive touchscreen with 400 x 240 pixels of resolution and it features a full QWERTY landscape keyboard that slides out and around back is a basic 3.2MP camera with video recording. Sony Ericsson states that the txt pro should get 5 hours and 10 minutes of talk time or almost 17 days of standby with its included battery on a full charge.

No word on pricing but the device is set to be launched Q3 this year so be on the lookout for it if you want a phone that looks like the Xperia Mini Pro but probably comes at a cheaper price.
