If you’ve been using iWork on your Mac computers then great news because it looks like Apple has ported over the iWork onto iPhone and iPod touches. It will be $9.99 per iWork app for new users and existing iWork iPad customers will get the upgrade for free.

“Now you can use Keynote, Pages and Numbers on iPhone and iPod touch to create amazing presentations, documents and spreadsheets right in the palm of your hand,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “The incredible Retina display, revolutionary Multi-Touch interface and our powerfulsoftware make it easy to create, edit, organize and share all of your documents from iPhone 4 or iPod touch.”

This is rather handy although I have to question exactly how much productivity can be done on an iPhone and iPod touch’s small screen. It made more sense when it’s on the iPad as they have more screen real estate, but I guess this will be good for users without the iPad who still want to create documents or go over their documents, spreadsheets, presentations while on the go.
