Is Samsung Going To Refresh The Galaxy Tab 7 This Fall?

Published

on

The first Android tablet that Samsung offered up was the Galaxy Tab 7, followed by the Galaxy Tab 10.1, both of which experienced a certain amount of success. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has yet to hit the market so that’s a different story altogether, but now thanks to rumors and speculations, some are starting to believe that we will be seeing a refresh of the Galaxy Tab 7 by this fall.

Prior to this we were expecting to see the Galaxy Tab 8.9 but rumors about component shortages were what caused the delay, perhaps this is one of the reasons we might see the Galaxy Tab 7 refresh, to cover up the Galaxy Tab 8.9? Either way the refresh is rumored to be sporting the 1.2 Exonys dual-core processor, much like the Galaxy S 2 along with:

  • 1Gb Ram
  • 2GB of ROM
  • 16GB of internal memory
  • Micro SD
  • Tab proprietary connector with USB Host capabilities (adapter)
  • 7 inch IPS display
  • Ability to call, video call and send SMS

What do you think? Could this be a replacement for the Galaxy Tab 8.9? Seems unlikely that Samsung would release both the 7 and 8.9 at the same time.
