iOpener Case For iPhone

If you’ve ever sat outside in the summer, enjoying the weather with a cold one in your hand and you were like, I wish I had a bottle opener with me right now, well it looks like the iOpener case might be what you’re looking for. Apart from the rather clever name, the case acts as more than a bottle opener but also comes with an app that automatically launches when the case is tilted with right amount of force needed for opening a bottle cap. The app is titled BevConX and when activated it will prompt you to choose the drink that you were just drinking, allowing you to keep track of what you have been drinking.

For those wondering, it’s made from a plastic polycarbonate/ABS alloy which keeps it lightweight but also strong enough to endure the constant strain of removing many a bottle cap, although not sure if it will withstand a drop. The bottle opener, which retracts into the case when not needed, is made from 14 gauge, 304 food grade stainless steel, polished with a special process so it shines without added materials like chrome that can flake off over time and get into your drink. Those are some pretty high quality materials and it retails for $29.95. Unfortunately the case was designed for iPhone 3G/3GS’s in mind but let’s hope that an iPhone 4 version will appear soon.
