Whenever a new tablet comes out sporting some killer specs or features they think that they will be the next iPad killer, and who’s to stop them from reaching that goal? Apple’s iPad is the tablet to beat after all if the research that has been done is true, and that consumers would generally prefer owning an iPad rather than a mere tablet. Specs wise the iPad 2 isn’t really all that spectacular, there are other tablets in the market currently that will be able to beat it in hardware, display and camera alone but I think for the most part people are missing the point on what makes the iPad so great – the apps and its ease of use, it wasn’t designed for those who are tech savvy in mind, but rather the everyday user.
The Impression 10 if it hopes to be the next iPad killer is far from the mark featuring a 9.1-inch display while running the older 1GHz Samsung process and Android’s Froyo 2.2 with 4GB of internal storage, although a microSDHC slot can take up to 32GB more with battery life lasting only 6 hours. It doesn’t even have a rear facing camera but only a 2MP front facing one. All is not lost however because if you’re looking for a tablet that’s under $400 then perhaps the Impression 10 which is going at $350 may be what you’re looking for.
