Google Books And Music Apps Going Worldwide?

Published

on

Google Books and Music have remained largely exclusive to US Android owners but now it looks like Google Nexus device owners living outside of the US have noticed that the Google Books and Music apps were downloading and installing themselves on their devices. Good news if you were hoping to get your hands on some books and music, but the bad news is that it looks like only the apps made it but not the cloud services that were supposed to come along, unless you were hoping for some public domain titles to read.

It was a rather quiet affair as there have been no word from Google about these updates but perhaps what it could mean is that Google is looking to launch these two services worldwide and the pushing of the apps onto non-US Nexus devices could just mean that they want those users to be prepared for the services which may be arriving at an unknown time. Until then I guess we will just have to wait and find out. Any non-US Nexus readers out there who might have experienced these downloads and updates to their devices? We would love to hear from you.
