Good news Samsung Galaxy Mini and Gio users because it according to sources Samsung will be releasing the Gingerbread 2.3.3 update for both devices soon. However if you happen to be one of those that just can’t wait for the official update, you can just head on down to Samfirmware to download it yourself. Note that this version is unofficial although apparently it’s the beta firmware that was taken off Samsung’s servers, so with all unofficial updates install at your own risk, alternatively you could just wait for Samsung to launch the official update, which by all accounts should be soon.
Not much information on what the update will bring to the device but improved battery life is supposed to be one of them, so stay tuned and we’ll let you know when the official update with all its features is announced.
