Galaxy Tab 8.9 Facing Manufacturing Issues?

Published

on

So we’ve seen the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 around and then we have also seen the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 around, and we’ve also heard the rumblings of a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 but we have yet to see the device being released, despite the device supposedly getting a summer release this year.

Well according to a Korean news publication, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is currently facing some component shortages hence the delay, and the components in question would be the touch panels, and it is also said that Samsung is considering mixing in older generation panels with the newer ones which does seem rather unfair and it would not provide a consistent experience for all their users.

Some believe that the older panels they are planning to mix in with the newer ones are the panels that are being used currently on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 which is also about 30% – 40% thicker. It seems unlikely that we will be seeing two variations of the Galaxy Tab 8.9 but either way stay tuned as more on this develops.
