Droid 2 Global users, good news because it looks like the Android Gingerbread 2.3 update may be arriving soon. Currently a select group of Droid 2 Global users have been chosen to receive the update as part of a “soak” test in which they will attempt to apply the update and use the device and report back and problems that may arise during the course of their usage. If anything this is a good indication that Droid 2 Global users might be receiving the update soon.
Unfortunately for Droid 2 users there is no word on whether you guys will be receiving the Gingerbread 2.3 update as it looks like currently the update is targeted at Droid 2 Global users, but who knows perhaps the update for Droid 2 may follow up shortly, until then the only course of action is to wait.
