A little over a month ago we reported that AT&T will be the carrier that will be supporting Cisco’s Cius tablets, but now it looks like after delays, the tablets will only start shipping next month and will be one of the first tablets running Intel’s latest Atom chip, code named Moorestown. For those who forgot what the Cisco Cius has to offer:

  • Operating System: Android OS
  • Apps: AT&T, Cisco and Android apps
  • Flash Support: Yes
  • Multitasking: Yes
  • Screen: 7-inch, multi-touch widescreen color display
  • Screen Resolution: 1024 x 600
  • Camera: Dual front and rear facing cameras
  • Ports: micro-USB (tablet); standard USB (HD media station)
  • Navigation: GPS
  • Storage: 32 GB internal flash
  • Wireless: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G/4G
  • Dimensions: 8.85 x 5.5 x 0.59 in. (225 x 140 x 15 mm)
  • Weight: 1.15lbs (0.52kg)

The Cius is mostly aimed at businesses and enterprise users, not so much regular consumers and according to Molly Ford, a spokesperson for Cisco, the tablets will not be available off the shelves, but rather through distribution channels, which we’re guessing is because they’re looking to offer up multiple units at one go to businesses, rather than individual sales like most tablets.
