AT&T’s Shared Data Plan In The Works

Typically carriers offer more than one plan, one for phones and one for tablets and they used to be mutually exclusive, but now it looks like AT&T is coming up with a plan that allows one user with multiple devices to share their minutes and data.

However don’t rejoice too soon because it won’t be any time soon AT&T will be implementing these changes. They are quite major changes because if it were to go through then that would mean their future customers would only need to purchase one plan for their smartphone for example, and further down the line they decide to add a tablet so maybe they would only have to add maybe a couple of bucks and get a new SIM card for use with their tablet.

What do you think? Does this sound like a good plan or would you prefer to keep your smartphone and tablet data and minutes completely separate?
