ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Sequel In October?

Published

on

As we all know the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer turned out to be quite a hit, we’re not sure if it’s because of its specs or because of its detachable keyboard, but we just know that it’s a hit, running out of stock pretty fast, to the point where even Toys “R” Us even started to carry the tablet. According to Digitimes they managed to ship over 400,000 units in the first half of 2011, making their way to the top spot of largest non-Apple tablet brand on the globe. So perhaps it with the success of the first iteration of the Transformer that ASUS has decided to create a sequel, that some have reported will make an appearance in October.

The rumors say that the next ASUS Eee Pad Transformer will feature NVidia’s Kal-El processor, better known as the Tegra-3 which will be a quad-core processor and they’re saying that it will also be running on Android’s latest offering – Ice Cream Sandwich, however since Ice Cream Sandwich has no release date set yet other than the fact that it will be released somewhere towards the end of the year, October seems highly unlikely.

Either way we can’t argue with the success of the Transformer and a successor to it is definitely a no brainer, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see what’s in store for it.
