Woman Kicked Off Train For Talking Too Loudly

A woman has been kicked off the Amtrak train for apparently talking loudly on her cellphone while being in the quiet car section of the train. She was apparently on her cellphone for 16 hours before getting embroiled in a verbal altercation with her follow passengers before being escorted off the train by the Oregon police. This was after Amtrak staff had politely informed her several times of her behavior.

If you ask me it seems that the train staff and the passengers on board have a good deal of patience considering how long that phone conversation went, not to mention how on earth did she manage to keep talking without her phone’s battery dying? I guess trains nowadays come with a power outlet for people to charge their laptops and phones.

I know that there have been multiple PSA’s regarding talking loudly while on your cellphone, in fact in Japan, a country with probably a 100 different handset manufacturers, people on the trains give you dirty looks if you start talking on your cellphone as it is considered to be rude.

Lakeysha Beard, the woman in question, was charged with disorderly conduct. How about that?
